There are two orientations for prospective members and new members.
This orientation usually takes place during the ELA Summit. Prospective members get to interact with members of ELA and they learn about the organization's mission, vision, goals, core values, organizational structure and so on. It is also an opportunity for new members to ask questions, network and interact with other prospective members.
The purpose of our new members' orientation program is to acquaint members to both the organization and to each other. Knowing the ins-and-outs of ELA is only one aspect of being a part of our organization. We recognize the fact that people join groups for many reasons: they want to get involved, learn new skills, make friends, and have a good time. For this reason we setup an orientation program for members to get to know each other and get involved in advancing the work of ELA.
"ELA is a goals oriented, project driven and patriotic organization."- Ms. Ivie Osifo
